This weekend, Canada's Northern House will come alive for Northwest Territories Outdoor Adventure Days. Visit us at 602 West Hastings St. and enter for your chance to win a prize package valued at $5,000, which includes a Jackson 2 Fun kayak, Nikon D5000 digital slr camera, and camping equipment. 

Outdoor Adventure Days are a showcase of the stellar outdoor adventure tour operators we have in NWT. The tour operators will be giving dynamic presentations of their product and will highlight the rivers of the Northwest Territories. Come by and get an expert perspective on outdoor adventure in NWT. Come share in the excitement as Virgin Radio will be broadcasting live from Canada's Northern House on Saturday from 12:30 - 4:30.

Outdoor Adventure Days will also mark the return of the huskies that were huge stars on the streets of Vancouver during the Olympics. Two white huskies - Mukluk and Herschel - will be at the House all weekend. If you missed them in February, now is your chance to meet these beautiful dogs!.

Activities over the two days include:

  • Seminars at Canada’s Northern House with slide shows from operators depicting the rivers they run and valuable trip information.
  • Engaging and interactive programming from parks showcasing northern camping and traveling in the north.
  • Discussions and insight into the broad range of tourism opportunities in the North.
