Canada’s Northern House Open Until April 18

The Paralympics may be over, but Canada’s Northern House stays open until April 18. This is great news for all the locals who have been eager to visit the House but haven't yet had the chance. Canada’s Northern House is not to be missed – it enjoyed rave reviews as one of the top pavilions at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games and was one of the few pavilions that remained open throughout the Paralympic Games.

We’re excited to give visitors and residents of the Lower Mainland more opportunity to discover Canada’s North. With museum-quality exhibits and spectacular visuals that engage and educate, the House has been especially popular with families. Come for a close encounter with our muskox, polar bear, caribou and Arctic wolf. Send a video postcard using our green screen, or build your own inuksuk. Don’t miss the fine art exhibits and doll show in the Lower Gallery. Watch our events schedule for performances and special programming, such as NWT Arts Week from March 26-28. Visit the retail shop to peruse carvings, qiviut, handcrafted items and books.

Come explore Canada's North and discover what the excitement is all about!

Hours of operation: We’re open seven days a week from 10 am to 5 pm until April 18.
