From the small town farming town of Lucknow, Ontario, Mary Caroline now finds herself pursuing her passion of music in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories and Victoria BC. Mary Caroline has found incredible inspiration from the people and places that have touched her heart since moving to the North in 2005. Her songs are centred around the land, the culture and people of Canada's last frontier. Her love of writing and poetry can be seen in her clever and heart-felt lyrics that are brought to life with her etherial, passionate and raw vocal energy.
Mary Caroline has played numerous shows in the North, including Bushed Music Festival, the Alsek Music Festival, The Snow Castle, Music in the Park, Open Sky Festival, South Slave Friendship Festival and Ts'eko - Celebration of Women in Music. Mary has opened for Hayley Sales and Giant Con.
Mary Caroline is currently playing regular shows across the north with Gutarist - TJ Buggins, Bass Player - Dave Whittaker, and Drummer - Walter Girrior. Mary Caroline has self produced an 8 song demo CD, called Breath and has also created a music video for the song Never Know. Mary is currently working in studio with Yellowknife Sound Designer, Travis Mercredi. The expected release date for the album is October 2009.
