Appropriating advertising spaces such as billboards and bus shelters, these images enter into a dialogue with their surroundings. Billboards are highly contested and competitive zones, displaying the drama of shifting social relations, and bus shelters are transitory sites – outposts that speak to the movement of people through a brief moment in time. Surprising and arresting, these images draw attention to the myriad functions of public space.
